This month we introduce Dr Gerben Keijzers from Gold Coast University Hospital.
I am a Senior Staff Specialist at the Gold Coast University Hospital Emergency Department (Queensland, Australia). This is a mixed ED which sees ~120.000 patients annually of which one-third are children. I am interested in collaborative clinical research and I am an investigator for several national and state funded studies.
A current focus is on hemodynamic resuscitation in sepsis in both children and adults, as well as antimicrobial stewardship and improving appropriate care.
