“I work as a Nurse Practitioner in the Hawkes Bay Emergency Department, a New Zealand regional emergency department and also part-time in an accident and medical centre . We have a mixed adult and children department with approximately 47,000 patients per year and about 25% of these are children. My research interests include what we can do to make our children’s emergency care presentation better – both for them and for their caregivers. Can we improve our health literacy in our adolescent population and our adolescent health, pain and procedure management for injuries?”
