Research PhD candidate – Elyssia Bourke

Dr Elyssia Bourke is an Emergency Physician working at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Grampians Health Ballarat in Victoria. She is currently undertaking a PhD through PREDICT (based at MCRI) with an aim to improve the management of paediatric behavioural disturbance in the emergency department which is wrapping up in 2024. She has a strong interest in improving the evidence base for common conditions managed within the ED and in particular has an emerging interest in clinical trials.

She is excited to contribute to the PREDICT executive and is more than happy to answer any questions about undertaking a doctoral degree through the network (elyssia.bourke@mcri.edu.au).
