Professor Dalziel is a professor of Paediatrics and Emergency Medicine at the University of Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand. He is also a paediatric emergency medicine specialist and Director of Emergency Medicine Research in the Children’s Emergency Department, Starship Children’s Hospital, Auckland.

Stuart undertook his paediatric training in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, including a Fellowship at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Stuart has a PhD in Epidemiology. He is the chair of the global Pediatric Emergency Research Network, (PERN). Within PREDICT Stuart is the lead investigator of a cluster randomised trial of knowledge translation in emergency departments and a randomised controlled trial comparing anticonvulsant treatment for status epilepticus.
