Mark is a paediatric emergency medicine consultant, based in Perth Children’s Hospital, Australia.

Mark has spent his professional career across Australia and the UK, both during training and as a Consultant. Over the last twelve years he has been involved at a strategic level in several international research networks, and has been a Chief Investigator on several multicentre trials. He has experience of a broad range of methodologies, and his current trials include a range of conditions including bronchiolitis, wrist fractures, abusive head trauma, and acute severe asthma, and his research areas of interest include asthma, status epilepticus, and infection in children. He has supervised many Masters and PhD students, on topics including digital healthcare, head injury, and biomarkers. He is persistent in his enthusiasm for the future of PEM research, both in the identification of topics for study, and supporting the development of individuals and teams to continue to deliver high quality research across the PREDICT network..
