This month we introduce Fabian Fabiano from the MCRI.
A word from Fabian
“I am working in the Brain and Mind group at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute on several projects that track recovery following paediatric concussion and the use of multimodal interventions for persisting symptoms. This has primarily involved recruiting participants from the Emergency Department of the Royal Children’s Hospital. We are currently conducting an implementation trial of a concussion clinic for the Royal Children’s Hospital, which involves establishing a network of hospitals and service providers who refer patients into the clinic, and exploring the use of a scalable digital application (the Concussion Essentials (HeadCheck) app) to facilitate access to in-person and telehealth care for those with additional support needs, further enabling access to care for rural communities and those less able to present to hospital.”
