Knowledge Translation Bronchiolitis Study
Knowledge Translation in Australasian Paediatric Acute Care Settings: a multi-centred, cluster, randomised controlled trial comparing a tailored, theory informed Knowledge Translation intervention versus passive dissemination of a bronchiolitis guideline.
Recruitment:
- 20 Australian sites
- 6 New Zealand sites
- Randomised to control and intervention
Current status:
- Intervention phase completed November 2017
- Effectiveness data collection underway with aim for completion very soon
- 9100 audits completed currently – 78% of total required
- Post site visits almost completed
- Protocol paper submitted to BMC Pediatrics
Moving forward:
- Statistical analysis plan being fine-tuned
- Control sites training day – 12 November 2018 (Melbourne)
- Analysis completed by end of December
- Outcome paper to be completed mid 2019
