Professor Dalziel is the Cure Kids Chair of Child Health Research, and a professor of Paediatrics and Emergency Medicine at the University of Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand. He is also a paediatric emergency medicine physician and Director of Emergency Medicine Research in the Children’s Emergency Department, Starship Children’s Hospital, Auckland.

Stuart undertook his paediatric training in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, including a Fellowship at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Stuart has been extensively involved in the leadership of PREDICT, including being a past chair, and internationally in paediatric emergency medicine research, including being the current chair of the global Pediatric Emergency Research Network (PERN). Stuart is principle investigator or chief investigator on numerous Health Research Council (HRC) of New Zealand and National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), Australia, grants having been awarded >$40 Million in competitive research funding.
